SAT Eligibility:

The SAT is open to high school students in grades 11 and 12, although it can be taken earlier (in grades 9 or 10) if a student wants a head start. There are no specific requirements, making the SAT accessible to non-traditional students or those seeking college admissions or scholarships.

Most students take the SAT in their junior or senior year after completing relevant coursework in math, reading, and writing. Students with disabilities can request accommodations, such as extended time or other adjustments, through the College Board.

Age Limit for SAT Exam:

  • There is no maximum age limit set by the SAT conducting body.
  • Students aged 13 and above can create an account on the official SAT website and register.
  • Students under 13 must register via phone or mail due to internet privacy restrictions. Phone registrants are eligible for a cost waiver.
